Join the Controlled Demolition/Structural Alterations of this leading central London based Civil Engineering contractor. With a strong order book and further rapid growth planned, this division really is the leading light of the group. You’ll join as a Quantity Surveyor and quickly climb the ladder to Senior and onto Commercial Manager. There’s no glass ceiling and the business is set up so you can thrive.

They provide solutions to large, complex passive fire protection projects nationwide. Working alongside architects and consultants, they produce and install appropriate fire protection systems bespoke to each project. The key to their success and repeat business is down to preparation and early planning – working very closely with the leading manufacturers helps avoid onsite delays and costly amendments. It’s this approach that sets them apart from their competitors and enables them to compete and secure the biggest projects.

Whilst experience in this sector would be a major plus, it’s not essential. If you have a track record working for subcontractors within the construction or civil engineering industry, that would be great. Being involved running multiple smaller projects in the subcontract world is the kind of experience they’re after – whatever the trade.

Salary around £75k + excellent benefits (travel paid, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, bonus scheme etc). or if you’d prefer, a day rate can be arranged for you to work through your LTD company. If you’re a Senior QS, there’s scope for this salary level to be increased.

At the very least, this could be worth a conversation, particularly if you’re currently with a subcontractor and interested in being involved in a £100m+ turnover civil engineering group. Could be the best of both worlds – work for a subcontractor and have the added security of being part of a large contractor.

In the current climate, with high inflation, bills and interest rates, a good salary and job security could be just the tonic.
