Quantity Surveyor
Central London / Hybrid (Home + Site + occasional Buckinghamshire office visits)

A rapidly growing £15m turnover specialist contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support its expanding portfolio of complex enabling and structural projects across London and the South East.

This is a great opportunity to join a business that is scaling quickly, delivering technically challenging schemes and building a strong reputation within the enabling works, cut & carve, demolition, structural alterations, and general civils sectors.

The role

You’ll be working across multiple live projects, typically valued £1m to £5m, with a strong focus on delivery within central London.

• Manage commercial activities across groundworks and structural alteration schemes
• Oversee cost control, valuations, variations, and subcontractor accounts
• Support project teams with contractual and commercial guidance
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure commercial efficiency and risk management
• Contribute to procurement strategy and subcontractor engagement
• Ensure accurate reporting and forecasting across live projects

Working arrangements

This role offers a flexible hybrid setup, with a strong emphasis on autonomy:

• Predominantly site-based across central London projects
• Home working where appropriate
• Occasional visits to the head office in Buckinghamshire (a few times per month)

About you

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, enabling works, civils, or structural alteration environments
• Comfortable managing projects up to £5m in value
• Strong understanding of subcontractor management and commercial control
• Confident working independently across multiple live sites
• Good contractual knowledge and commercially aware approach
• Able to build strong relationships with site and project teams
