Project Engineer | Cut & Carve

West End, London | £400/day | ASAP Start

We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading specialist contractor on a complex cut & carve/RC project in London’s West End.

This is a hands-on role within an experienced project team, working on technically challenging structural alterations, demolition, temporary works and RC structures in a live, constrained environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Project Manager with technical delivery.
• Coordinate engineering activities, drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries and design coordination.
• Work closely with temporary works and structural engineering teams.
• Support the planning and sequencing of complex demolition and structural works.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor quality and technical compliance.
• Assist with site inspections and technical documentation.
• Resolve engineering issues with the site team to keep works progressing.

About you:

1. Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
2. Strong experience within demolition, structural alterations, cut & carve, RC Frame or specialist construction.
3. Experience with temporary works, structural steel, propping, complex sequencing or demolition would be highly advantageous, particularly on central London projects.
4. You’ll be technically confident, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
