Operations Manager | Structural Services (concrete repairs, structural strengthening, diamond drilling)| Glasgow

A leading civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to establish and lead its first Scottish office in Glasgow, supporting the continued growth of its Structural Services division (experience within this sector or similar is a real advantage)

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a new regional operation, combining operational leadership, commercial management and business development to establish a strong presence across Scotland.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for setting up and developing the Glasgow office, overseeing project delivery and driving sustainable regional growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and managing the company’s first Scottish office.
• Overseeing the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of structural services projects.
• Scope of works: concrete repairs, diamond drilling, hydro demolition, structural strengthening
• Developing client relationships and securing new business opportunities across Scotland.
• Managing operational performance, budgets, resources and commercial outcomes.
• Recruiting and developing a high-performing local team.
• Working with senior management to shape and deliver the Scottish growth strategy.

About You

You will be an experienced operations or contracts professional within civil engineering, construction or structural services, with a strong track record of delivering projects and managing teams.

You will also bring:

• Strong commercial awareness and operational leadership skills.
• Experience developing client relationships and winning new business.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial approach to building and growing an operation.
• The ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on project delivery.

Knowledge of the Scottish construction market and an established regional network would be advantageous.
