- Works undertaken are demolition, soft strip, structural modifications, remediation, asbestos removal and associated works

This contractor has a fantastic name and reputation in the London enabling works market, having been established over 50 years. Typically, they target complex enabling works projects up to around £5m in value, mainly in central London.
A new senior management team is in place and they’ve agreed on a strategic growth plan covering the next five years. This plan is already starting to bear fruit as the business is looking strong in the medium to long term based on the pipeline.
This growth means a new role of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor has been created to join the busy commercial team, based in their London office.
Brief overview of duties:
- Working closely with the commercial Manager to maintain commercial viability on projects
- Management and procurement of subcontractors
- Payments and monthly valuations on projects
- Contractual documentation – control and administration
- Collate and calculate site information
- Site measurements and costing variations
- Communicate with site and operational team members for accurate recording of project information
What do you need??
- To be degree/master’s qualified in civil engineering/quantity surveying
- At least two years working for a contractor (in London ideally)
- To be able to work full-time at the head office and on sites
- A willingness to learn and develop through to Quantity Surveyor (plenty of promotional opportunities)
