• Preconstruction Manager
• Based full-time in central London
• Specialist Civil Engineering contractor 
• Salary range £100k to £115k + benefits

This leading contractor takes on complex engineering projects in the heart of the capital – enabling works, cut & carve, basements, RC/steel works etc. They tend to deliver these projects as an integrated contractor with only certain specialist packages subcontracted out. Typically, projects are £10m to £50m and most schemes include innovative methodology and a strong focus on re-use of materials and existing structures.

As well as your technical expertise within preconstruction, you’ll need to have some experience in team management. The team is established and set up, with estimators, bid writers/managers and precon engineers, and this is a golden opportunity to join the team and demonstrate your leadership skills and potential. There’s a very real opportunity you could push to head up the preconstruction team in the coming years – once you’ve settled into the role.

You’ll ideally need to have some experience with contractors who operate an in-house self delivery model. The group has several specialist divisions/teams to enable this one stop shop approach. In addition, a good working knowledge of the cut & carve/concrete structures world is pretty key, particularly on projects in the heart of central London, that bring with them the usual logistical challenges.
