Incredible opportunity to join the senior leadership team of this £50m turnover specialist contractor. They’re a well-established civils and enabling works contractor delivering groundworks, remediation, demolition, infrastructure, and specialist site-preparation services across the region. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and collaborative delivery, the business is entering a phase of strategic growth and is now seeking an experienced Health & Safety Director to lead its HSEQ function.

As Health & Safety Director, you will set the strategic direction for all health, safety, and wellbeing activities across the company. Working closely with the board, project teams, and clients, you will ensure that the business maintains the highest standards of compliance, promotes a proactive safety culture, and continuously improves its systems and behaviours.

About you:

• Demonstrable senior-level H&S experience within civils, enabling works, construction, or infrastructure.
• Gravitas to assume the role of Safety Leader/number one in a contractor with a turnover of £30m plus
• Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards chartership.
• Strong understanding of CDM, temporary works, excavation safety, environmental interaction, and high-risk operations typical of enabling works.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with confidence to challenge, lead change, and implement best practice.
