Procurement Manager – Civil Engineering

Location: Dartford, Kent
Salary: £65k to £70k plus benefits

A leading name in the civil engineering sector, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing and supply chain activities across multiple infrastructure projects in the south-east. Projects are typically £5m to £25m – highways, 278 works, bridges, hard landscaping, bulk earthworks.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement for materials, plant, and subcontract services.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms.
• Support project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Drive efficiencies, ensure compliance, and manage procurement reporting.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven background in procurement within civil engineering or construction.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Solid understanding of contracts, cost control, and project operations.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• CIPS qualification or similar preferred.
