Project QS – complex enabling works projects – central London – fantastic opportunity

£75k to £85k plus bonus/benefits

You’ll work closely with the commercial lead to continue building and developing the QS team at this busy contracting firm. As number two in the commercial team, the career development opportunities are very much there in front of you.

They work as a principal contractor taking on projects, typically £1m to £7m in value, in the heart of the capital. These projects are complex by nature – intricate cut & carve, structural alterations/demolition, façade retention, complex temporary works etc.

You’ll take on 2 maybe 3 projects at any one time, working closely with the clients and internal teams, ensuring the numbers are managed appropriately. You’ll likely have a couple of project based AQS’s, giving you the freedom and support to develop further.

Rather than insist on a Project QS directly from the same industry, they’d rather take on someone who shares the same kind of vision and work ethic as the directors. Someone who is ambitious and a real team player who’s great with clients. If you’ve got experience within the enabling works sector, that’s a real plus, but it’s not essential.

The only must-have, is experience working in the construction or civil engineering sector on central London projects. Large or small projects, it doesn’t really matter. What matters is you’ve got some experience dealing with some of the unique logistical and project challenges which you only find in London.
