Senior Temporary Works Design Engineer / Manager

Join a leading London design consultancy and work closely with a company director, taking a leading role in temporary works design across major demolition, enabling works, groundworks and reinforced concrete projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to combine hands-on technical design with team leadership, delivering safe, practical and commercially effective solutions on a varied and challenging project portfolio.

The Role

• Lead temporary works design from concept to detailed design, including calculations, drawings, specifications and risk assessments.
• Oversee designs covering demolition stability, façade retention, propping, excavations, piling, working platforms, crane bases, formwork, falsework and reinforced concrete stability.
• Review and approve designs in accordance with your competence, BS 5975, CDM and relevant standards.
• Manage design programmes, resources and technical reviews to meet project deadlines.
• Mentor and develop engineers, support recruitment and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain robust design records, checking procedures and technical standards.
